I'm the new kid on the block, I've got a 67 Ca. Special that I'm going through end to end, and I was wondering if anyone has ever thought about going from a carborator to fuel injection on a 289, if so can you suggest some sites that I migh visit to get an idea on prices? I think I want something more stable then having to worry about my carb going out on me. Or a suggestion on a good carb for my motor.

ok you have a number of ways to go here;
1: you can adapt the efi system from a late model 5.0 if you go this route you need to either change the cam to a 5.0 or 351w style cam, or change the injector firing order.
2: you can use one of the many aftermarket systems on the market today from holley, edelbrock, etc. you can get a wiring harness from painless, street and performance or windsor fox that will let you use the 5.0 computer in a custom harness.

any of these options are viable ones, but i would read up on efi before you attempt to install any system. charles o probst wrote two excellent books on fords efi systems, get them and read them.

rbohm is correct. You gotta read up and do some searches on how this installation is done. There's a lot of stuff to know. Trust me, I know. I'm well on the way of of completion on my 65 EFI project.

If you want know about EFI for your Early Stang I highly reccommend you study this site http://fordfuelinjection.com/
Especially read the set of "magazine articles" in the navagation area. They are about EFI into a Bronco, but relate directly to any early Mustang
