Possible Fuel Injector Failure

Well I've had my T-bird for 8 months now, and in this time I've done ALOT to improve it's running capacity.

But now, it seems I have been having a rich condition that is worsening daily.

At first, it was just stinky, the normal rotten eggs to raw gas smell.

But now, it's starting to give me trouble with loading up.

The car is more powerful now than it has ever been, which strikes me as kind of odd.

At redlights, it will load the cylinders with raw gas, and when I take off, it clouds white smoke behind me for a minute.

It will also do this after I cut the motor off.

If I start it ten minutes later, huge cloud of white smoke.

This leads me to believe that the injectors are faulty and leaking.

When the motor is running, you can hear the injectors ticking, (that's the only ticking you hear too ) and they aren't exactly quiet.

The only codes stored in the computer are for rich condition on both banks.

Any opinions? This sound like it to you guys?

I wanna check the tps before I go changed the injectors, either way it cant hurt.

It kind of starts white then turns black.
It could be bluish instead of pure white, which would be a bit of oil.
I know the coolant burning smell though, this is the pig rich make your eyes burn and you're girlfriend leave you kind of stink.

That's quite true, and worth checking out.

Only thing is, this problem seems to go through phases, even in one drive, it can fluxuate back and fourth between ultra rich and somewhat normal.
I would think that an FPR problem would be a little more persistant.

It seems to be most evident when I am going WOT on the highway.

Non the less, I will check the regulator before I do anything else with it,
I'd almost rather change 8 injectors than try to change that regulator.

One thing I would look at is the fuel pressure regulator. I'd check the fuel pressure just to see if it right. I've also heard of instances where they go bad and the fuel gets sucked in through the vacuum lines.

Well I just went and pulled the vac hose on the FPR, and sure enough it smelled strongly of gas and even seemed dampish at the ends.

I'm trying to figure if I would be better off blocking the hose for a few days til I have time to change the regulator.
I'm not sure of the ratio to fuel escaping the regulator vs. the fuel that will be forced through the injectors. Likely it would still be rich at idle.
