I just noticed that my gas pedal has about 2 inches of slack travel. When i put my foot under the pedal i can raise the pedal about 2 inch up without any resistance. Is this normal? Also when i checked the cable connected to the throttle body it looks normal but i can pull a bunch of slack from the the throttle cable. Is there any way to adjust this? It also seems like I'm not able to get wide open throttle with the pedal to the floor. Can anyone help?
Thanks

i think its normal. a lot f cars do that so i wouldnt worry. have you done the gas pedal free mod? it gets rid of most of that slack by raising the pedal up to about flush with the brake pedal so the driver could floor it all the way instead of hitting the carpet.

did it fix your problem? Just checking if your original problem was fixed.

Thanks for all the help. I took the rubber intake pipe off and checked to see that i was getting WOT. All is good! I just never noticed the slack before. I had the car since new (3 years)!
