I am considering buying either a extra set of stock wheels to run regular tires on my car instead of my BFG DRs or possibly buying a new set of wheels. Not sure what to get, so I thought it would be cool to have a collection of actually photos to see....

Im liking the 97 Cobra wheels tire rack has, btu they are only a 17X8 wheel...

Also thinking of Ford Racing in CHrome or AFS 18X9 03 cobras in chrome....

Hey man there no pic!

Im still looking at wheels hehehe.....leaning towards just getting a new set of stock ones though... they get dirty so quick on this car especially with brake dust...the stock ones dont show it much at all. They look good even when they are dirty... Thinking about buy a whole new set though cause mine are all scratched up since I had them rebalanced and the weights moved inside...you can see the gouges where the weights used to be and one wheel has a big scratch where the shop hit it with something...plus I want some nice BFG G FOrces all around...

Are those real Ford wheels or aftermarket? They are $30 a wheel cheaper than tirerack.com. I usually use tirerack because they mount and balance as part of the cost....actually when you consider the fact that you will have to get your tires mounted yourself then that site is about the same as tirerack..

I like having tirerack do it, because I have gone to local shops (even those that advertise a touchless mounting system) and I have had wheels damaged by them. Scratched or gouged in the case of my stock wheels.

People just dont seem to care unless they are selling you the product, then they have to be responsible for the product.. Im from NJ no one cares here...

I am leaning more and more towards just a new set of stock non chrome wheels with BFG G FOrces.....

Those do look way better than I thought they might. Nice car 04mystic!

I can't speak for 04mystic, but Chip's wheels (in 20" RWD form) typically run $675-725 each depending on discount. So that makes $2700-2900 for the set without the tires.

Those wheels like real nice, but I just can't get used to 18+ inch wheels. On an outragous looking (i mean that in a good way) modded stang they can look hot, but for me on a stock 03 cobra I like the 17 inch....i like seeing some tire. In the end for me it was between the stock wheels or the 17X8 97svt chrome ponies tirerack has in 5 lug. I decided to just stick with the same wheels I have now so that I dont have to switch all four tires or have two different sets on at the race track. For some reason that really bothers me hehehe im also still not sure about chrome on zinc yellow. On chrome yellow yes but zinc im not so sure.....

So instead of just buying the two wheels and tires I really needed I went with a complete new set of 17X8 03 CObra again with BFG GFOrce Tires KDs? i the summer performance ones.

SO now Ill either be selling my extra set of 03 cobra wheels with Nitto ZRs or just keeping an extra set of Drag Radials on them.

Is the rear a different size than the front?

yes the rear wheels are 20X 9.5 and the fronts are 20 X 8.5

I think if I owned an 03/04 I'd just buy a pair of 17x10.5" AFS' for the rear & be done with it.
