Just curious to see what your engine details are with these heads - size, cam, flat or dome piston, N/A or adder, etc. Qtr mile times would be great too. I found a good deal on a set and am thinking about running them on a future project.
I dont have SR's, I run windsor JR's w/Hyd flat cam,230 dur.@.050 .512lift 9.5:1comp. in a mustII that weighs 3300lbs.w/driver. 12.50's @ 108 best. All published dyno reports I've read suggest SR's make about same power as JR's just a little sooner in the rpm range. World heads are in need of some more exhaust flow. So dont go crazy in the intake,just clean up bowl and short side and make the ex.port flow. Reference MM&FF Dec/2001 Porting Windsor Jr Lites by David Vizard,page 151 DJ
my entire combination is as follows:
71 truck block bored thirty over,4340 crank, je pistons, comp cam xe262h .493 .500, complifters, world product windsor senior heads, edelbrock intake manifold, edelbrock 650 carb, hooker competition headers jethot coated, arp bolts, aftermarket radiator, borg warner 4 speed, aluminium driveshaft, 373 limited slip rear end, urp upper and lower control arms, subframe connectors, new shocks and springs. now i have not ran this combo at the track yet but am planning to reall soon. i have to do a compresssion and a leak down test before i run it due to burning oil problem. now i did not have a problem with my valves hitting my pistons when i installed the cam. so far i am happy with this combonation but there is always room for improvement.
