Hey guys,

I was looking to get my suspension powder coated, up front initially. If I removed all rubber boots and such, could inner tie rods, pitman arm, and idler arm withstand the heat from the powder coat oven? I believe most powder coating takes place around 350 degrees. I just don't want to affect the bushings and such. Anybody have experience? Thanks

I would definetly make sure there are no bushings, no pieces of plastic, no rubber...nothing but bare metal. IN order to powdercoat you actually heat the part twice. Both times for about 20 minutes. It gets HOT. I would want anything but bare metal in that heat.
