For those with a Power Bond balancer, you might check yours.

I ligned up TDC and this is how my timing marks came up on the stock pointer. I used a pic of a stock balancer to show the diff.

Going to install my adjustable timing pointer to correct this.

Hope this helps some of you

Holy cr** - that is WAY off. Think about what some poor guy who didn't check would experience. How could it be that far off?

my thoughts exactly. imagine how much power I was missing setting the timing at 10* using the top mark?

Tommorrow on goes the adj timing pointer. Looking forward to that extra HP & TQ

as for why it could be that far off?, well all companies do make error's at times. I also read a while back when these first became popular and I remember a couple posts where a few said theirs were off by 11*, so after cranking another 5* advance into mine and still had no ping, I decided to double check it.

Tom, this is why I made this post as many people use this balancer and wanted them to make sure to check theirs.. Maybe I got unlucky, I don't know, but it doesn't take long to check it.

Take Care,
Scott

Timing marks were 10* off

Just finsied up installing my adj timing pointer with the help of a buddy. WOW what a diff we figured the marks on the Balancer were off by 10*, so I was actually running at 0* rather than 10* BTDC once everything was all lined up perfectly.

Just thought i'd share what my final results came out to be.

Take Care,
Scott
