Power Brake Booster

This may be a stupid question, but....
On my brake booster(68 power discs) there are 2 nipples on the vac line fitting. The big one I know goes to the engine to supply vac. I have had the other capped off. Just saw a photo of Great 68's engine bay and it looks like he does not have small nipple capped. Am I missing something?

Most of 'em don't have the extra nipple. Just cap it off.

My 67 has it's extra nipple capped too!
