Power Brake Problem

I here recently had front power disc brakes put on my 67 mustang. Everything works fine except for when i press the pedal there is this swooshing sound coming from down near the pedal but when i push the pedal all the way down it stops. During the install we used the manual brake pedal. I was wondering if this might be a factor in the problem?

What brake conversion kit are you referring to? Are your brakes working good in spite of this?

Yea everything works fine, its just that loud swooshing noise. I used the manual front disc brake conversion kit from SSBC brakes, I ordered the kit from mustangs unlimited. Since then I had my mechanic put on a power brake booster.

you have a bad power booster. the diaphragm has ruptured or torn and is causing a vacuum leak, that is the wooshing sound you hear.

I converted to a 5.0 booster and mine does the same thing. The brakes
work great. Ive seen previous posts and that seems to be common to
make that noise when you hit the pedal. You could call up where you
bought your brake kit and ask them but I think everything is ok.
