I think that the fpr isn't necessarily worthless, but a stocker would be close enough usually, just depends. My car likes higher f/p, so it was benificial to me, and normally I would recommend one to play around with for tuning. As far as the exhaust leak, I don't know how bad one would affect you, but I had 3 cylinders with leaks, and when I tightened them back up, I felt a good amt of power coming back. I would try to tighten up that header bolt, and check the rest to be sure, and like stated previously, chk vacuum leaks, codes, timing, f/p, ect..

how do I check for vaccume leaks??

I have one of those cheap code readers but there kinda tricky to use, hard to tell when one code is finished and its on to the next.

Could It be my o2 sensors? My car backfires if I tap the gas about 4 times fast in a row, I was messing around the other day and it started do to that, I was at about 2,000rpm in 3rd.

Theres a pause when the code stops and another begins, usually comes with a manual to let you know how it reads, mine will give active codes first, then stored codes after, with a slight pause between each. It reads active codes twice, (pause between each one) then goes to stored (pause between each also). You can do koef, koer, and cylinder balance test with those scanners. As far as the vacuum gauge, get from local parts store,( should have insturctions also) last time I did a test I hooked it up through an intake vacuum hose. What codes were you pullin?

Yeah, key on engine off, you can also run codes while the car is running (spout in on both), koer the car will increase rpm's and scan for codes. Cylinder balance test will test each cylinder and kill one injector at a time, your supposed to see if there will be any rpm drop each time, and will give you a code for which inj.

I bought a cheapo code scanner at Wally World a while back. It actually shows you numbers like a calculator. No beeps and lits to count.

If you have trouble pulling codes you can also go to a parts store, most will pull them for free.

I would definately check your wires though. You said you've changed them, but they could be in the wrong order as mentioned or spark jumping. Have you popped the hood in the dark to look for arcs?
