Does anyone know if there is another power outlet besides the one in the dash. I'm a designer for Chrysler, and that power outlet in the middle of the dash is the stupidess thing I've ever seen in a car. It's right above the HVAC controls and radio. I leave my phone cord in all the time and its just going to be hanging in the way all the time. I don't know what they were thinking when they put it up there.

There are two powerpoints. One in the center stack and one inside the center storage bin. The one in the center stack is perfect for your radar detector -- that way the cord doesn't run across radio and HVAC controls. Plug your phone into the one in the center storage bin!

I'm sorry to hear that you work for Chrysler.

I thought that Chrysler was bankrupt and out of business.
Arn't they just a money losing division of Diamler-Benz?

I'm sure that if any of us cared enough to closely analyze any DCX product we will be able to find several "stupidest things we ever saw" on them.

I guess correct spelling and grammar aren't prerequisites for becoming a Chrysler designer.

Let me get this right. You actually design Chrysler vehicles and would still rather drive a Ford product? Talk about not having confidence in your work.

If chrysler had a RWD car that wasn't a 4dr I would by that instead. I'm not here to find thing's wrong with the car, because I am buying one. I didn't think about putting your radar detector up there in that plug. That's cool that it has the one in the storage bin though.

We've actually made money damn it lately.

Razz away, I don't care! Anyone that takes something said on the internet to heart, shouldn't be on the internet.

Thanks,
Lenny

Yup, so is the Viper.

Wow, I can't beleive the hate for Chrysler around here, you guys are rough. You guys are almost as bad as the Ricer crowd.

Glad too see the new Stang has more than 1 power outlet. Has anyone seen the 110 volt outlet on the Vibe and Matrix. I thought that was a pretty good idea, I could keep my mini-fridge in the back seat

Only problem with the Crossfire is it is underpowered, it only has a V-6 in it! I don't know why they haven't stepped up and dropped a Hemi in that car, talk about the ultimate in Looks and power!

They make an SRT-6 Crossfire that has the SLK32AMG blown V6 in it.

I expect the SRT-6 Crossfire to be about as fast as an LS1 C5. Good chance it is underrated too since the same engine in a Mercedes is putting out 20 more hp and tq.

The crossfire is slow. The SRT-6 is fast, but its also 45000. I can buy a Cobra and a pretty good daily driver for that price. The viper is just way to expensive.

They sell converter's that will let you keep that refrig. in the back seat.

I don't belive that most of us hate Chrysler. But when someone shows up, announces they work for Crapster and makes a comment about the 05 Stang that says
is the stupidess thing I've ever seen in a car

we are going to get a bit defensive.

I always thought the power outlet right next to the shifter in my '03 was a little stupid. I didn't want to plug my phone charger in there and have the cord running by the shiftter.

I use the one inside the console instead.

Seeing as how more people have cell phones these days and like to charge them in the car, car companies should design better locations to plug in the chargers and hold the phones. I don't like keeping my phone in the console because i can't hear it ring. I let the cord hang out and put the phone in the rear cupholder, but then when i get a coffee i need to use the front one and it hits the shifter in 2nd.
