Power Seat Blowing Fuse????

Noticed my power seat died. Checked fuse it is blown. Put a new one in, it does not blow until I move the seat. What is causing this. I didnt change or do anything to my car.

Car is a 97, seat is drivers side.

Sounds like the motor has given up and is shorted internally OR you got a wire under the seat loose and its got hung and pinched in the track(causing a short).

Ever figure this out?? mine quit working a while ago..and I was thinking of figureing out what was wrong....which fuse was it?

A weird one for ya. I had the same problem with my 94 GT. It turned out to actually be the wire that fed the cigarette lighter in front of the shifter. Or power port whatever ya wanna call it
