Ok I have a leak in one of my power steering hoses. ALOT of power steering fluid is being lost and when I had a friend look under the hood as I was turning the wheel it was spraying from one of the lines (Im guessing the pressure line). Any hints, tips, or suggestions on fixing it? Oh yea its a 88 Mustang GT.

To start we would have to know where the fluid is spraying from. It could be at the rack or at the pump. In either case you could replace the "O" rings or get new hoses. If you want to go braided then you would need ot have the hoses off so the proper length braided hoses could be made. If the rakc is leaking then you may as well replace the rack and hoses together. Some say replace all 3 items, pump, hoses and rack, so you do not contaminate the rack from the pump shavings that are always present in older pumps.

yeah replace the hose.. they may ask you if you have a ford rack or TRW, I forgot how to tell the dif but it has something to do where the hoses bolt on to the rack. The parts dude should be able to help.
