We have just installed a powerglide transmission (2 speed). Custom brackets and driveshaft are being fabbed to get it working on an S197. Pics show glide, scattershield and C4 bell housing.

Don't pay too much attention to dyno numbers. We're looking for the lowest amount of power to get the car into the mid to low 9s. Car was running poorly when it hit 10.0 last november. That was at 22 lbs of boost. Think we're going to stay around 22-25 lbs of boost. Weight reduction is 250+ lbs with the rebuild and with some extra ponnies, should lower ETs a lot.

I hear ya...trouble with dyno numbers is they are so inconsistent between machines and operators. We used to have this car and another one dynoed on a dynojet with the same operator. Then as we switched tuners, both vehicles were dynoed on the same mustangdyno with the same new tuner. Both cars showed on the base pull (no tuning), a 20% drop in numbers over the dynojet.....same power as before...just 20% lower number for both cars...go figure.

To better answer your question....maybe in the 850 rwhp range on dynojet??????? If the car is acting straight and not complaining, we might go up to 27 lbs of boost? With this turbo, the torque is going to be a good bit higher than the hp.

I will take it down the track but essentially my driving days are over for this vehicle. One of the most important mods is the driver mod...lol. Somebody way younger (I'm an old fart), with lightning reflexes, mucho racing experience at different levels, and of course an NHRA race license.
