Hey guys,

So, it's time for a new rear end... 2.73s suck and my old diff gives me nothing but one wheel peels.

Question is, i believe they make 9" differentials which can come with aftermarket gears already installed. So, what about 8.8"???

Does any company make an aftermarket differential for an 8.8" with aftermarket gears already installed???

Example: An Eaton differential with 4.10 gear already installed.. like a package deal??

Thanx for any positive feedback either way,
Jason

They dont sell kits like that already bolted together if thats what your asking. Not even in 9in. Gears are tricky, they need to be shimmed properly in order to obtain the proper backlash. The 4:10 gear you mentioned as an example is a 2 peice gear. The pinion gear, which is bolted to the driveshaft throough the axle housing, and then the Ring gear, which is spun by the pinion gear, and is bolted onto the differential.

Actually I have a catalog from a place called Racer Walsh. I think the site is just www.RacerWalsh.com i'm not sure I am at work and don't have the catalog handy. Anyway they have complete 8.8 packages with axles for around $750.00. Have no idea if the gears and everything are already installed or not.
