predator pinging problem normal ??????

I have a 2002 gt and i installed a diablo predator on and i always hear a little pinging sound when im at 3/4 gaz, i hear this like 1 sec and when i floor it all disapear normal ????????, i run it +5 timing then the stock predator tune and i add + 40 wot fuel so the car is 40 time richer then the stock predator tune, i have the first update inside, the A proggy, does someone have try the last revision i think is D, does it can make a difference ??????6

ok first question.. what octane gas are you running..

second thing. i have heard that some cars go lean with the canned preditor tune and don't respond too the contorls too richen it up a bit.

if you are using 93 octane and still have a issue i would go back too the stock tune untill you can get too a dyno and run widebands on it..

Download the latest revision r50d into the Predator and see what it does before adding timing or adjusting fuel.

The custom tune I have will not work on your car because:

I have a different ECM
I have a different MAF setup
My base timing is different

It was $75 for unlimited tunes from www.injectedracing.com, for which I sent my stock program copied from the Predator, dyno session info, and some Predator datalogging info regarding MAF voltage versus rpm while on the dyno. My A/F was very lean at WOT with the stock tune due to my exhaust and CAI mods, but the custom tune got it to a virtually flat 13 and gained some HP. The turnaround time on e-mailing the tune was less than 24 hours. In other words it was worth it.
