No, DO NOT just max the spark advance out.

Adjust it in small intervals (2* to 3*) at a time and then go wide open throttle under a heavy load (say 3rd gear, 16-1700 RPM) and listen for spark knock. If you don't hear any then you are ok. If it pings or knocks back the timing down 2* and go test it again.

his sig says predator , you can advance the timing until it pings and like he said then back it down 2 degrees , or take it to a track and advance it as long as your MPH keeps picking up , when it doesnt pick up anymore MPH then its not making anymore power , back it back down to the the setting that netted the fastest MPH , given the 60 fts are comparible

Posted via Mobile Device aight well i dont know why i thought it only went 2.0...but i got it at bout 4.0 an dont have ne pinging so ima leave it there til i have more time to play with it

Cool, that should help out a little bit.

Each car is different as to how much timing you can advance before it will start to ping... 4* advance should help out a little without needing to worry too much about pinging as long as you stay using 93 octane.

Dont run a octane booster. 93 octane will do, i personally will not run any kind of octance booster. Also dont switch fuel grades alot, if you run 93 octane run 93 octane, dont switch lot from 87, 89, & 93. Even when gas was super high I would still run 93 octane but I dont drive my car at all hardly lol. For a dd you better just stay with mid grade. Just a therory I have about octanes and fuel pumps ect. I might be wrong or it might sound stupid but since I put my new fuel pump in i have only ran 93 octane and its been going good for 4 years.
