preference on o2 sensors

I did a search and I think yall are going to tell me it doesn't really matter. But, does anyone have a preference on o2 sensors. Do certain brands last longer, or hold up to leaded gas any better or anything. Anybody have a good line on the cheapest place to buy them. On my Buick Denso is way more resonsive and holds up for hundreds of passes with c116 leaded race fuel vs. maybe 4 runs out of a Bosch.
Any info helps--even if the answer is "it doesn't matter".

Don Lasota once said he liked the Ford sensors more than the Bosch units as I recall. But it was because he felt the Ford sensors had a better heater circuit IIRC.

Otherwise, I could not begin to post up anything objective about th differences.

Last I knew, Bosch made the sensors for Ford.....

Well I went to Sparkplugs.com (they always have the best prices on Densos), then I went to Ford Direct Online--now I am confused and I have a couple of questions?
1. Same part number left and right, correct?
2. Am I looking at the right thing, is this a typo or what--seems awfully cheap. Thought you ought to know about it if this is legit.

nvm = nevermind

I asked an engineer at a place I used to work called shelby american. He said Bosch had the best switching. He heard that from Carrol himself he said, but bosch may have been in his pocket, so that opinion could mean nothing.


I always thought bosch made 90% of o.e sensors.


If they are truly $4 let me know and I will stock up

That price is crazy low, i'd purchase now before they realize the forgot to put a 5 in front of it.

I tried to contact somebody to make sure that I was ordering correctly. The phone number listed, goes straight to a full mailbox. So, I emailed them and all they wanted was a part number off of my old part. He couldn't answer the question even with the link I gave him. Oh well I ordered two and if they aren't right Im only out $8. I will let you know what they send me.

You know what? I too figured that Ford O2 sensors were likely made by Bosch.

Ready for the surprise? I have a factory O2 sensor out my old '89 GT in front of me now with an E7 part number and the Ford logo. Guess what it says? NTK Japan! It's a Nippondenso sensor. It's funny because a lot of Toyota truck guys say the Denso sensors work better(in Toyotas) than Bosch.
