price of a 8" locker pumpkin

I need your help figuring out what the price of a 8" locking pumpkin would be with 308 gears. I found one in my local salvage yard and they pulled it out and have it tucked away but they want $300. is it worth that.
mine in my car is doing wierd things and i want one to put in while i supe up the origional one. The case on the one the salvage yard has has 3 bars going up and down and ither 3 or 4 going side to side. nothing on the case i could read though.
any help would be great.

I paid in the neighborhood of $500 for mine, plus shipping. Mine was set up by a professional with new r&p, bearings and seals. Also came with the nodular case... was even painted.

If that is what they truly want for a used case, with used gears, and a no-locking unit, tell them to send me what ever they are smoking. I WANT SOME !!! You get them on e-bay for 10-50 bucks. I have one with limited slip and gears if you want for 350. Spend the extra for gears and locker. 300 is stupid rediculous.

what gears does yours have and is it the good type of case. What is the good type of case. I think this one might have an N on it or US or some wierd symbol.

They have 3.80 gears,Auburn limited slip. It is a 67 case which I read a while back that is the first year of the stronger cases. They all have about 3000 miles on them.
