im still in the market for a 94-95 5.0 5-speed...and this whole GTS thing is sounding pretty cool. is the GTS a lot more expensive than the regular GT because of its rarity, or is it cheaper because it is stripped down? if anyone could let me know what they paid for their GTS, i would appreciate it!

Well, there's two ways to look at it. I can't remember the last time I saw a stock GTS. Most people who get them end up modding them because they are GTS's or they went out specifically looking for a GTS to mod. Either way, the mods my add to the price.

Of course if you do find one stock, you can talk them down a bit because they are stripped.

I overpaid for mine because 1) I didn't know what it was, 2) I needed a car right away and didn't have time to shop around, 3) really wanted a 94-95, and 4) had a fat stack of cash sitting in my pocket. I paid $9500 in 01. It had 89K miles and was stock all the way to the silencer.

I paid $8500 in 99 for a 58,000 mile GTS. It was a real bargain back then. The blue book value was like 13 or 14K. I got it from a friend and it was 100% stock to the air silencer as well. Very lucky buy. :nice:

But nowadays it would be a little pricey it seems.

Man that was a real good deal, I purchased mine in Jan 2000 and paid 12.5 for it. It was the cheapest deal I could find around that time and plus it only had 39k on the clock. It was also stock down to the paper filter.
