Pro-Comp Belt Drive. Live it, Love it, or Leave it?

Noobz347,

Just wondering which AFM grinds you have sitting around and if you would want to part with one (or trade maybe).

Hi Noobs347

I realize this post is quite old now but did you actualy use the Pro-Comm belt drive??
I'm in the same boat trying to decide wherther to use it or not

Nope... That thing is still holding up my wall.
Ok
Here goes - I have installed mine with a Gates belt instead of the original and I'm in the process of deciding if the belt tensioner is up to the job.
I was thinking of machining up a larger diameter roller for it, so the bearing will run slower and also can fit a more heavy duty bearing.
Other than that it looks fine.
I might also put a few more TIG tacks around the crank pulley.
The belt is standard 8mm HTD 75 teeth (600mm) so no issues with replacement

I will report back when I start it.

Best of luck! Mine sits on the wall for the simple fact that I wasn't willing to risk the entire motor for what was to me, and experiment at the time.
