Pro M runs like crap compared to C&L

Basically i've been running my car with a C&L meter for almost a year. When i floor it the car squats and takes off like hell. I came upon a Pro M meter in a trade and tried it. At idle and low rpm cruising/daily driving it drives normal just like the c&l. However at WOT it just falls FLAT on its face and the rpms climb like a snail with the occasional backfire. Why the difference? I always heard the Pro M was much better from so many threads i've read so i thought i'd give it a try. I would think if the meter wasnt working then it wouldnt be so smooth at idle and cruising. Because taking off from a light at moderate throttle it feels strong but as soon as WOT it craps out.

any thoughts?
 
Aftermarket maf's are hit or miss. When I had 24lb injectors in my car I made more power on the dyno through out the entire powerband with the 76mm c&l over the 80mm pro m. A/F was crappy with both meters. I run 30s now. Could be the eec isnt 100% adapted yet to the new meter.
