jrichker said:A cam with poor idle characteristics is a problem to drive in traffic. The jerks and surges can be a real problem at stop & go low speed. Even street crusing at low speeds can be less fun. No pickup when you mash the pedal until the engine gets up past 2500 RPM or so. Save the lumpy cams with poor idle for the racetrack - you'll love them there, because they are operating in their best performance envelope.
