Prob w/Streetscene side skirts coming loose

The side trim by front fenders/doors coming undone after driving in rain( car had never been in rain before after install) and the tape started to release in several areas.....

had my body shop install new tape and clean the body good....still not holding..

any ideas or a better tape to use?


I bought the car with the kit already insatlled....

From the couple of guys I know with Street Scene kits, and it's not just those kits but most, you are going to have to use an adhesive.

Good body shops should have suggested it from experience. Ask them about it. In some situations even attachment screws can be needed.

I was thinking some type of adhesive would be better then the tape too...

can anyone recomend any?

If you see it pulling from the plastic parts and not the car's body then I suggest doing it over and use adhesion promoter on the plastic before applying any tape.

we used the promoter the last time still with no luck.....
