Ok, my cigarette lighter inside my shifter bezel isn't connected anymore because i replaced that spot with a switch which controls something else.
So now my cigarette lighter is (still connected and) floating around in the area under my cd player behind the plastic shifter bezzel.
i hooked up my phone charger too it and let it chill back there with the cigarette lighter--i wired the phone charger to just barely stick out of the ash tray area by the e-brake so i can charge my phone without the messy wire hanging all over.
So heres the question:
Does having this charger always connected and hanging out back there impose any sort of fire hazard/battery drainage?
Thanks guys,

but if it were me, I'd insulate the terminals on the cig lighter outlet that floats. I've added them to many cars and always did this myself - just in case the positive wire wanted to dance with ground.
