Probably a stupid question

I am trying to sell a truck I have. It's in good shape, but the paint (black) doesn't shine as well as it did. Now, back when I had another black mustang and the paint was faded, I had some "color match" car wax. It wasn't the best stuf in the world and messy as crap....but it made the black look pretty stinken good (for a while).

OK...here's the question.

If I were to take some black shoe polish (go ahead, laugh...it's pretty funny to me too) and mix it up in some wax...what do you think would happen? Would it work the same?

I know, I know...sounds stupid, but I'm curious.

Zaino - Yep, I know all about it (set up the first GP back on the corral in the late 90s )

And I clayed and used a cleaner back when I first got the truck.

Here's the honest truth.
I don't want to spend any more money or put too much time/energy into this truck and was looking for an easy way out to get it looking it's best.

Sad but true.

I just want to sell this thing and be done with it.

I truly hate this truck.
