I am hoping that someone could possibly help me out... Whenever I take my 88 Notch (now mass air flow) to the track, every time I race the car seems to cut out when I go from one gear to the next. I know that it is not my rev. limiter...it could be fuel delivery or something with the tps sensor...but whenever I take it up real high in the rpms and shift quickly (not power shifting) when i slam my foot back down into the gas...there is nothing. However, if I let of the gas and smash it down again...the car kicks back in and goes. Any input would be greatly appreciated to help me end my frustration.

Mods include:
3.55 gears, bbk shortys, full h pipe/ 40 series flowmasters, short throw b&m shifter, tremec t-5, gt40 heads, cobra upper and lower intakes, b303 cam, high flow fuel pump, adj. fuel pressure regulator, mass airflow conversion

I can solve your problem right now. Keep your foot in it and shift as fast as you can. Just dont let your foot be faster than your hand. As long as you have a strong drivetrain and some nuts you wont have a problem, and plus you can knock a tenth of your time if your fast enough.

I agree. Why are you letting your foot off the gas durring a race? Do you want to loose? Yes, it does sound like a TPS issue.
