My trans has been acting up lately, i dont know wtf.

When i get on it, and try to shift to third, sometimes it doesn't go. Like if i hit a bad RPM ban orsomething, or shift to soon maybe? It just doesn't go SOMETIMES. It goes more often than not...

But lately my car will NOT go into reverse. Sometimes its fine and sometiems its like "nope! not going into reverse" I dissengage and re-engage the clutch, that USUALLY gets it, and sometimes it still doesn't work. Somoene want to tell me wtf? Car has a warranty on it still, but just wondering if this is a problem for anyone else with a T3650. I'd say 1 out of 10 times it will not go into reverse.

EDIT: I also try going from a gear into reverse. Usual response...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Ford has a TSB out for the T3650. To fix 1-2 grind. You may have broken tranny floating around and is causing other issues.

When Ford did the TSB on my car they found 3rd gear was missing teeth and they replaced it too.

Yeah I have the reverse problem with a new 3550 I have to go into 5th and then into reverse. as for the 3rd gear issue i had the same thing happening to my T5 and then it blew up, I would definetly recommend getting it in for the warranty work and then get youself a better shifter that will usually clear up that 2-3 shift.

You probably just have some bent synchros, and usually shifting into 5th or 1st before going into reverse helps it.

Also try changing you tranny fluid it never hurts to keep it lubed up good.
