I just swapped a 95GT over to a t-5, I couldn't find a 5.0 bellhousing for a 94-95 car, I read you could use a bell housing from a 3.8. So I found a 3.8 bell housing. I got it all together yesterday and it won't start. The started engages but it doesn't touch the fly wheel it just spins. Is there no way to use the 3.8 bell housing. I bought a 5.0 bell housing yesterday I hope that fixes it but I really dont want to pull the tranny back out and replace the bell housing if I don't have to. Was I told wrong can you not use a 3.8 bell housing. Thanks

easiest thing to do would be to find a gt bell............because if you swap to a fox 5.0 bell the imput shaft lengths are diff. and you will have another problem

did you buy a t-5 out of a 95.......just curious

The bell housing and the tranny MUST be the same. If your driving SN-95 you REALLY should use the same tranny and bellhousing because of input shaft lenght and the problem you have. Too bad you have to take that tranny out again. Mines been out twice in two weeks for a bad bearing retainer (originally thought to be TB)

In my 95 Mustang, I have a 93 trans and had to buy a 93- bell. Now my driveline, shifter housing and mounts are 3/4" short. I eventually fixed it by getting a rebuilt/longer DS and making some modified trans mounts. But, next swap I do I'll do it right. For sure! :D
