I have a 1996 Mustang 4.6L manual transmission it also has a brand new clutch and this was also happening on the old clutch, I also have that aftermarket clutch cable you can adjust at the fire wall by spinning it.
When I push the clutch in and try to shift its really hard to take out of gear and put iin gear, I would adjust the cable via the one on the fire wall, and no go. I would also notice the clutch engages as I barley let the clutch engage.
Any advise, or if you're confused on my wording, I can get confusing.
