Problem with my 92 2.3

Hey guys i just bought a 92 lx coupe 2.3l auto.. it was running fine then all of a sudden it felt like it was only runnin on half the cyls... so i left it set for about a day and the problem was gone but it came back again about mile down the road...i replaced the crank shaft sensor and that didnt fix it i had the control modual check and it said it was good.. has anyone ever ran into this problem... oh yea i put new plugs and wires on it so thats not the problem

I had a similar problem on my 92 auto, turned out to be the Ignition Control Module that’s located on the lower intake. It’s a little gray box that has two plugs going into it, one on the top one and one on the bottom. Hope this helps.

Sounds like the trouble starts when it goes into closed loop. If the ICM is OK, then I'd look at the MAF being bad or dirty. Symptom of a MAF problem will be a loss of power above 2000 rpm.
