Hey guys,

Bought a Craftsman Fluxcore welder a few years ago. Today while I was welding my oxygen sensor bungs into the exhaust the fluxcore got jammed in the welding hose that leads up to the handle and trigger. I tried pulling it out but only got a piece out, and now the rest is stuck in the middle of the hose?

I am screwed? Will I have to get a new welder or is there some over way of getting this out?

Thanks,

Mike

It wasnt very clear in your post, Did you try to pull the wire out from the tip end or back at the welder?

You can pull the contact tip off and you will be able to yank on the wire from the tip end, Or, you can pull the wire back out from where the spool is.

If you've pulled from both ends but there is still a length stuck in the hose you could try to feed more wire through it with the hose held tight and straight but I'd say the likelyhood of that pushing out the stuck wire is low.

Craftsman probably sells a replacement hose. There is usally a list of parts in the rear of the owner manual of craftsman things...surely you wont have to buy an entire new welder.

Yeah I tried pulling it from both ends and there is still a bit left inside. This sucks. I have to find the owners manual now and hopefully I can just buy a new hose.
