problem with running right

i just installed bbk long tube headers, bbk off road x-pipe, and slp load mouth exhaust on a 2001 gt. now the car does want to run right. it cuts out under hard accelration for some reason. it didnt do it before the install. i was wandering if anyone else has had any problem or has an ideal what it could be

The only thing I can think of is that since you are running an off road X pipe, your O2 sensors are telling your computer that the fuel mixture is too rich. Which will lead to the computer adapting to this and lowering your air/fuel mixture. The computer will alter the mixture, but i dont think that the car would "cut out". Thats too extreme.

Did you make sure the O2 sensors are in there tightly? If they are loose, that might mess with the computer also, possibly causing your car to run poorly.

yea i went back and checked everything. everything was thight. it acts like the tracking control is kicking in so i turned it off and its still does it. i guess i'm going to scan for any codes next

i scanned it and the mil eliminators wasnt working so i replaced them. the ses light stayed off for two days then came back on agian yesterday. so i'm going to scan it agian today to see what it says. is there something that could be messing up the mils. ses light is on but its running fine. the o2 are working just fine. how i knew the first set of mils wasnt working was the rear o2 sensors were plusing at the same rate as the fronts after i replaced the mils it was back to normal agian. so i'm lost as to why the ses light came on agian but i should know why by this evening. thanks for the tips and info

does it cut out just when its cold or even after its warmed up , the rear O2s will kick the light but really wont affect the running of it , sounds to me like your factory calibration just isnt taking well to the exhaust changes . Might need to send your ECM to Tim for adjustment :)

well thats what i was going to do was get a chip for it. the codes coming up are emission code. the front and rear o2 senors are plusing the same. the volts are 8.99 to 0 on the fronts and 6 to 0 on the rears. i think its a tuning problem. there are no local shops here in louisville but theres pauls performance in cincy so i guess i'll give them a call to see what they say thank agian
