problem

I have a 88 mustang that I recently purchased and when start it up in the morning or even if it has been sitting for a while and go to rev it up while it is in neutral, and it almost or sometimes dies when I give it anywhere from 1/4 to half throttle. I just changed the fuel filter and it wasnt the problem so I was wondering what it could be.
BTW, it also has a K&N Filtercharger on it and it is Speed Density not MAF also if that helps any.

pull codes. could be something like TPS or EGR...codes will help tell where to look (and what not to look at). good luck.

Dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.
