Prochamber Install annoyances....

Just got my Prochamber shipped last Friday. I installed it the same night by myself. Everything is fine. My only complaints are that when I installed it, I guess I twisted the flowtubes ever so slightly and now they rattle up against the frame of the car. I am gonna have to rig them somehow to keep them from doing that.....VERY annoying.

My main problem is that I when I was installing it, I found that the smog tube on the Prochamber was much longer than on the stock H pipe. I had to cut a little off to get the smog tubing connected. However, when I did so, I cut like maybe 1/8" to 1/4" too much. Now the pipe from the car fits over it but not quite enuf for me to get enuf overlap for it to seal. I used a pretty big clamp and some high temp silicone but it still leaks a little.

Is there anything I can sleave overtop of the two and clamp down (two clamps on each end of the sleave)? Is there any other way to be able to fix this less welding it together (will have to take off once a year for inspection)?

Also, I have an intermittant CEL now after the install. I guess its the computer not getting proper smog readings. This isnt bad is it?

Cut the tube somewhere and scab in a lenght of hi-temp hose, or do it right there at that connection

I was going to try this but my dad laughed at me saying that the heat would melt the tube. I didnt think so tho.....coolant hose??? Coolant gets hotter than the exhaust doesnt it?

No, exhaust temps reach 500 and up.

Oh, so will hose work? If so, is there a specific type or is it just called high temp hose?

All you need is duct tape man.

Hmmm....I thought that was a southern redneck cure all. I'd rather find something a little more permanent plus I know that duct tape burns relatively easily. Used it once as a shock between my h pipe and frame to keep them from rubbing. Yeah, they stink when they burn.

Umm ... yea, don't use duct tape. I too have heard of the high-temp hose, but I have no idea where you get the stuff either. Does anyone know where you can get the high-temp hose?? I had the same problems with my O/R H-pipe. I looked at Auto-zone and the guy there had no clue what I was talking about. I have no idea what kind of rubber hose wouldn't melt at exhaust temps. Anyone know????
