Just got my Mac Prochamber put on my 02 Gt, with eliminators, and can't get the service engine let to go off. I already tried to disconnet battery for awhile and it work for a day, then light came back on... Any other suggestions???

I put a Prochamber on my 2001 and the light never came on even before my chip. You may try to get a chip. Or have you done anything else to the car that may cause the light to come on?

My suggestion is to go to your local AutoZone and have them pull your codes to be on the safe side. It might be something more serious than you think.

Also, your MIL eliminators might be bad, did you buy them new?

I agree with FiremanZ. It might be bad MIL's or it could be something worse. I have the Pro-Chamber and my SES light has been on since the day I had it installed. A custom burned chip with take care of the problem though. By the way, how do you like the sound?

do what firemanz suggested & go to autozone & get your codes pulled & let us know what they are.

but one problem could be, you damaged the front o2 sensors when you put it on & they will need to be replaced if that's the case, which also means it's not the mil's. & here's a long shot, but it might work, try getting under the car & switch the mil's to the opposite side of the prochamber. i know it sounds weird, but my buddy did that on his 98 cobra after dallas mustang told him to try it & his light hasn't been on since

I have flowmasters with my Prochamber and I love the sound. I had to get use to it though. I felt like I was getting into the wrong car when I fired it up... Really woke up the car. It's great though.. I am going to go check the codes tomorrow.. I definitely know it's from the prochamber causing the light to come on.. I will get it checked tomorrow and post and let yall know...

gottabfordtough- The sound with the prochamber and stock catback is different. I have that setup right now on my 04 GT as well waiting on my spintechs to be made as we speak. It sounds almost like borla to me. It doesn't sound bad at all but takes getting used to and isn't my cup of tea but to each there own right. It actually makes good sound also, not quite by any means surprisingly enough to me. If you like the borla type of sound you will like it with stock muffs.
If you are installing the prochamber yourself, let me be the first to suggest a 1/2 inch breaker bar with a 3 or 4 inch extension for it....you will need it to get the lower bolt off on the passenger side....a royal pain in the ass.

Prochamber

I had my Prochamber installed around three months ago. The mils were from Dallas Mustang. I never did reset the battery, and for about two months I dealt with intermittent SES lights. It would come on for 50 - 100 miles or so, then turn off. It did this around 5 or 6 times, and now it's been off for over a month. I'd have the codes read to ensure your rear 02 sensor isn't fowled. Other than than, give it time I guess.

What brand of MILs do you have? If you have the simple plug in kind, did you bend them a lot during your install? I have heard that they do not like this and you can damage them by doing this.

As suggested, pull the code. If it is a rear 02 sensor - likely - the problem is in your MILs. To be sure though, swap one side for the other (assuming only 1 sensor is giving you problems). Then pull the code again when the SES light comes on. If it has switched to the other side, it is definately your MIL. If the code stays on the same side, you likely have a problem with your 02 sensor - an easy fix, but a bit more expensive.

Personally, I get a SES light every once in a while - especially in cold and very rainy weather. It stays on for about 100 miles of driving or so and then goes out. When I installed my Dallas Mustang MILs I did bend the right one and that is the code I've gotten.

I just put up with the sporadic light and enjoy the sound. If I wanted to be sure I never got another MIL related SES light, I'd upgrade my chip.

I went ahead and ordered the mil eliminators as well. Hopefully everything will go well. I will post up when install is complete.

gottabfordtough- I had no problem with the fit really. one of my flow tubes doesnt' line up that great but my mufflers from the factory aren't even at all...one is tilted and the other is flat so that is just ford at its best. I think the prochamber is just fine. I had no fitment issues....you will be happy. if it is on a daily driver I would suggest sanding off the coating that is on the pipe from mac.....and then spraying it with some high temp paint to prevent rust. Mac's coating isn't the best.
