Procharger Or Vortech

I'm going to purchase a centri system and cannot decide between the vortech v3-si kit and the procharger p1sc-1 kit. I like the fact the procharger has a dedicated drive, but that also worries me with another pulley being added to the end of the crankshaft putting extra stress on it. I have seen dyno numbers from 575 to 700 with either kit. I've personally had a procharger before on an 04 gt and was pleased.

I've installed both kits and can provide quite a bit of insite on both in that aspect. For what it's worth the Procharger kit is easier to install, that is about where the benefits stop in my eyes. The Vortech kit has much better engineering behind it and fits better at the end of the day. The Vortech head units are more efficient and therefore produce less heat. At the end of the day you can achieve similar results, I personally stand behind the Vortech products as I've seen less failures and much better customer support.

I was very much leaning towards Procharger but I ended up buying Paxton. I called a shop that seemed reputable. (Team Beefcake Racing) and spoke with the Owner a few times. He said Prochargers are great kits but the Vortech / Paxton is a better bang for your buck. I haven't received my kit yet but when I do, look out stangnet I'll be post whoring. One of the things that Terry mentioned at beefcake was the size of the blower. The Paxton Novi 2200 is 1450 CFM where as the P1 procharger is 1200 and the D1 is 1400 CFM.

Exactly, and if anyone knows the skinny in and out it is Terry. I know him personally and he is a good dude that will always steer you in the right direction! The Novi 2200 that you have coming will be very comparable to the Vortech JT trim that I have on my car. :)
