Is the procharger harder to install in our cars than the vortech? What all do you have to move to put the procharger in our cars and what does it look like installed? Also what does the kenne bell look like on our cars I've never seen one and have given it some thought

Well the procharger goes on the drivers side, which requires the battery to be moved to the trunk. Procharger is one of the best hardcore supercharger systems for drag racing. They also allow the mouting of an intercooler.

Ive heard the Vortec is a pretty easy install. Also the Procharger is a self contained oiling system so you dont have to go down and tap the pan like with a Vortec.

Sorry to hijack the thread...but does anyone besides KB make a postive displacement supercharger for our cars?

I personally find the Prochargers to fit better then the Vortech's on the 94/95. The Vortech really smashed everything in one area and the inlet tube for the blower is a complete joke, all smashed to get between the blower and inner fender.

Only thing I do not like about the ATI is the air filter location, above the valve cover, right against the brake master cylinder, and A/C lines.

easy install

I just installed the procharger on my 95 and it was really simple....i got a little scared with the clearance between the pulleys and the radiator fan, but it turned out to give me about 1/2 an inch. Also, it took me about 4.5 hours for the complete install. I like how it sits vs. the vortech and it doesnt have any oil lines or an intercooler (downside). However, i am putting in a methanol injection system to keep my supercharger cool, so i dont see an issue.

Hope this helps... Danny

procharger makes intercoolers for the 5.0 kits...so no "downside"....just costs more
