I had a Professional Products intake and TB on my last car, no complaints here. I did take the intake to a machine shop before I installed it though and had it smoothed up a little, they are suppose to flow better than Cobra intake's

Yeah, I have the intake & TB on mine & it works fine. It did stick open when I first installed it but I just replaced the spring & every thing works fine.

I had one it was the biggest piece of junk i ever owned. Polished 70mm one, looked good and worked good for the most part. Throttle always hung and wanted to stick around 2000rpm sometimes at heavier throttle. Made the most annoying whistle sound too. I tried many times to fix it never worked ended up buying a broken Edelbrock 70MM for 5bucks fixed it and it's been on the car since. I actually threw the Professional products one away. I've also got their intake i love that though.

Might look good, but I am in the business of having it look good and perform well also. Friend took her stock five oh and added both TB and intake... picked up 7 hp...

What the hell is the diff. between a 70 mm eddie and a 70mm PP? They both flow the same and its not like they will have rough edges or anything. The throttle stickage can be solved with a little lube. Maybe the IAC didn't seal well and it caused your idle to hang. The intake might be a diff story, but a 70m TB is a 70mm TB.

Also there is no whistle with mine.

As for the TB I felt the same way. I bought a Mac despite being instructed not to by the shop I took my car to. As for the numbers though, cant argue there. If the intake was produced without enough R&D to increase performance enough, it just makes me curious how much work went into the TB though..

How much were you expecting to pick up on a stock 5.0,? or are you being sarcastic?

I said i tried many times to fix the issue........The throttle stickage was not solved by lube or even a different spring i tried both. The IAC was sealed that had no issue with hanging idle, the hanging throttle was caused by poor craftsmanship of the TB itself nothin else. Other's had the same whistle, they might have improved the TB from when i bought it a few years ago i dunno. What i do know is that piece of **** i bought wasn't worth even reselling so i tossed it into the **** can where it belonged.

The difference between Edelbrock and PP is quaility, it can been seen on the TB's and the intakes that PP copied from edelbrock.

http://reviews.stangnet.com/showproduct.php?product=202&sort=2&cat=14&page=2

Look at the 6 reviews everyone mentions sticking throttle. One mentions the whistle i guess it's just the IAC not sealing.........

But i should say some maybe alot never had problems with these TB's but i know alot have also.

I've been using one on my car for the last year. No problems. It looks good and great price.

This is a great site. I used them a lot while I was doing my H/C/I.

Albeit far from "modified" her car had bolt ons and I would easily expect at least 15 to the rear wheels when adding an intake manifold and throttle body to a car with full exhaust and a k&n. No sarcasm here, just stating my experience.
