Just curious how to get it wired in so it doesn't run when the car is off... I have it right now wired direct into the fuse panel using a spade connector but it continues to run with the car off and drains the battery... Is there any way to wire the hot so it only runs when key is on?

Sourcing power from the interior is NOT how I'd do it. But if you must, simpy choose a fused power source that is only key-on hot. It sounds like your existing power source is always hot.

Instead, I'd run a relay under the hood - it's safer, doesnt need a big power donor from the interior and allows the fan to perform better.

Good luck.

i have mine wired right into the ignition relay, therefore, as long as the key is on, so is the fan.

How did you do this? Mines run to interior and its just plugged basically straight in the fuse box and it runs with the car off which is just crap for my battery.
