Rog (Green 94 5.0) and I worked hard today.

Motor-We installed the Spec Stage III clutch kit, Mcleod flywheel, tranny mount and tranny to the new motor.

Engine Bay-Sanded and primed.

Looks good, might want to take the shifter off when you drop it in, itll give ya that 6 inches of clearance youll probably need. Although I never done it with the tranny on, just the bellhousing and it was still kinda close.

Vib, that looks great. You really have done a nice job with everything. Do you have any info/websites for painting the whole engine bay? I'd like to do that some winter.

I've never heard of anyone using a Spec III and a T-5. Honestly, thats a pretty tight clutch, difficult to use on the street. 2 of my friends had it and ended up switching to the Centerforce Dual friction unit.

we pulled it with the tranny and shifter attached so stuffing it back in the same way shouldnt be too much of an issue. it makes everything easier that way too since the only drivetrain wrenching that needs to be done on our backs now is bolting up the driveshaft and tranny crossmember.

honestly i didnt think the spec 3 was that bad in joes car. after taking off a couple times in first gear, i got used to it. it didnt have any chatter and didnt seem to be too grabby to be streetable.

The Spec clutch was in the tranny when I had the blower. It did chatter for awhile but it says right on the box with a bright sticker "400 mile break necessary." It was fine after 350 miles.

Painting the engine bay with all the A/C stuff still intact is tricky. Most of the bay won't even been seen anyway. I figured since the motor was out why not.

Zen, I'm just winging it when it comes to the paint. I want to do all the work in the garage. I have a customer who is supplying the paint and clear coat. Plan is to spray it this week.

I want to fill all the holes in my bay, thought about doing it before I installed the new motor. Didnt have time so it gives me a project to pull the motor, or add a K member and do it then.
