Interesting thread......Looking forward to updates.
On the wrap, stripes only on the hood, or hood & trunk, can't tell from the pics ?

Stripes are only on the hood. The scheme was to match my 84' within reason. That has the hood only covered in carbon fibre

As in a stick shift? Zero There is no way that anyone can shift that fast. Some of the faster cars in the class would run well into the 6 second time territory if they ran the cars out the back

@TOOLOW91 @84Ttop I thought so. My understanding has always been to run consistently with that much power, you have to run an automatic. Just thought I'd ask.

So this past weekend I had the opportunity to run the car around the road course at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP). Simply put, this was a blast! I seriously underestimated how well this car handled and am beyond impressed how it took the turns and stayed planted the entire time. The track was a little cold (43 degrees) so I didn't get too carried away pouring all the power on at once especially since this is the first time out with this car. The car actually hit the 500 mile mark on the odometer on the 4th lap at the track, lol. The brakes proved to be as substantial as one would think and had no issues slowing down from 110-120mph from the straight away. The car handles so well and feels very balanced, the Recaro seats were also awesome at holding my butt in the seat comfortably. The steering input in "sport" mode was nice and tight and I felt very comfortable out on the track. The IRS is such a huge improvement in this particular instance it isn't even funny. All in all, the car exceeded my expectations all the way around at the road coarse and I can't wait for the weather to break in the spring to put in some more time there. For the record, Boost made this experience that much more enjoyable!!! Here are a few pictures from Saturday:

Very cool! So I assume the pictures from behind the other cars were taken as you lapped them?? LOL just kidding. Thanks for documenting all you are doing with this! Mine will be a V6 model, but I expect to enjoy the crap out of driving it.

I just got conformation that the Drive Shaft Shop axles and drive shaft had shipped and I'm expecting them by the end of the week. Hopefully Circle D will come through with a convertor for the car in the next week or two and I can pull the trans the same time it's on the lift for the axles. Stay tuned as I'll have a full write up for the install of all the new goodies!!

Thanks! As far as taking care of the wrap it just gets a quick detail spray ( I use Groits Garage Quick Detailer ) and looks like new. I've been taking the same care with the other car for over a year now and it looks just as good as day one!

The vinyl doesn't chip like typical paint, it can get scratched up or damaged just like anything else but in the worst case you would just have to rewrap one part on the car and be good to go again. I've found it to be very resilient and it has held up nicely.on my other car

Looks awesome!

Your thread says road course. I don't know a bunch about the handling of the new model, but with that much power are you planning suspension mods?

My guess is mods will make it better if that is your goal. Do mods even exist yet? MM was my friend LOL
