Project 81 Hack Job and 13" brakes???

13" brakes arew worth their weight in gold.

HUGE difference when i upgraded my GT brakes to 13" brakes.

You might also want to swap the rear brakes as well. As long as you use the 99+ axle shafts, everything else will swap right over

IMO I would have the lower end rebuilt with forged components and put cams in the engine throw that in, drive it for a while then fab up a DIY turbo for it in the future, and the brakes are a no brainer. It couldn't be that much work just swap over the full K member it should be the same right?

Hack job is sick as it is but I would not hesitate to do the swap. I was initially thinking that it should be a simple swap and why would you have to remove the interior but I guess it is a different harness and cluster to make it work but damn. You will be removing weight off the nose and adding more power. Sure the peak is ONLY 40 more but its overall power band is MUCH nicer. The Cobra motor is just SO much better I dont see how you could not do it. IMO that would make Hack Job perfect. Meaning if I ever sold my Termi I would be calling you to buy that car :nice:

nobody will eva buy a kewbra with stripe like that!

Thanks for the input guys. I haven't really been at the computer all day. Me and my friend (coworker) are taking the Cobra apart right now.

So far we got the gas tank out, rear end, exhaust, wheels/tires. Started at the back and moving toward the front. I'm saving everything in a huge box. I'm pulling it and setting everything aside in case I use the swap or sell it to somebody. Who knows....don't want it sitting outside...too rare of a car...too many "midnight shoppers"...

Haven't seen Hackjob in awhile. Forgot how good its looks.

Swapping brakes would be very easy and those brakes are worth their weight in gold. If your not up to swapping the drivetrain or building a V6, take the brakes for sure!!!

We'll see what happens. I kind of have this mind set now that my 91 notch is gone, that I should just sell what I have been saving for myself all these years. Sell it, make the money and get out of the builds, just enjoy what I have. I might list them on Ebay with a high reserve just to see what I can get for them.
