Project: At Home Waiting

i spent the whole morning going through processing, and the physical. and i ended up getting brown flagged, so no job yet. im looking into spec ops right now as a way to get in. and also the reserves. im giving my recruiter 6 weeks to get me into active duty after that i will either join up with SWCC program (kind of like seals little brother, ride around in small boats with big guns and blow sht up) or Search and Rescue, or Diver. also there are ways to go reserves and be pretty much active duty and get into active through back doors. kind of sucks i am a little agrivated. sleep deprived.

okay so today was a good day, i pretty much buttoned up my bumper (no pics, when the camera was out i had it all covered up.) i got the trans taken out both me and my boy daniel had a good idea on what we needed to do, first, shifter and boot comes off. second, i got the driveshaft off while daniel took the 4 bolts... the PO only had 3 bolts in the bellhousing... WTF!?!?, third we dropped the cross member, and that is when the pain happened. we had all sorts of trouble getting that cross member down i think it was largely in part due to the Xpipe but we got the trans down and feeling good now, tomorrow the new one comes home friday it goes in. i am loving it.




what are these? stock springs? after market shocks/struts in the rear? the front shocks/struts look old as hell im thinking springs and front shocks are stock.

i am getting the super alloy T5 built by astro performance. driving there tomorrow getting a good deal on it. -150 freight, -75 tax (paying in cash), and i yanked a 4 speed transmission from an 83 vert i had a couple years ago, giving them the bellhousing cause it matches up to the desirable T56 and im getting another -75 knocked off of that. total price of trans is going to be 935 dollars. heres the link. rated for 350 ftlbs of torque and 450 horsepower... hopefully no grenading for a while and lots of punishment.

Update: haven't wanted to post picture of the car because of the way that the bumper looks ( i think it looks pretty bad.) but its a project car, probably always will be lol.

trans has gone in, at first my clutch was all messed up and it wasn't as perfect as i wanted it. i later put in a Maximum Motorsports clutch cable and boy the thing shifts like magic, since the left peddle goes down so much easier the right one likes to go down a lot better aswell.

a long time ago my sunroof developed a bad leak, destroyed my ECU cause water dripped down the roof and under the dash right into the ECU, eventually i will need to replace the drainage tubes that the PO hacked up so it drains properly. my first attempt at fixing this was an abysmal failure (no pictures) i used black silicone on a hot day and sanded down good paint trying to fix rust and blah blah blah. basically i was a dumbass for listening to this guys advice. so attempt 2 is a little better but still an eye sore, just doesnt look like the car is broken out in Herpes, i cleaned up the rust a little bit more using a dremel to grind out the rust and then used bondo to patch up the leak. needless to say the sunroof does not come up.

the bumper i did, well the color i thought was going to match up good, didn't so well (my fiance says im color blind, there is some truth to that.) so right now i am sitting on a three tone car

getting new gears for my birthday, trying to hustle some extra cash for my subframes and torque box kit before i ship out november third. money is seeming harder and harder to come by.








SIDE PROJECTS: DROP DEAD UGLY (1988 5.0 4x4 F150, after the swamp)

gave this bad boy a nose lift, and started replacing some bad wiring (still a lot left) it had a 2x8" wood bumper for a while now i got a 5x5" square steel tube as a bumper (i am ready to run over trees and **** now... again!)
paint job consists of rattle can gray, PO house paint rolled on , and rustoleum.

after the swamp the AOD trans blew up (truck sat under water for 14 hours, engine too, then driven after that with out changing fluids just turned the crank and got the water out of the cylinders, took up to 90 mph on 10 psi tires and a water logged truck, my five . oh survived Hoo-Ah) replaced with a built C6 w/ kevlar clutches bad ass trans. the shifter comes out of the floor and is a piece of metal stock... looks like a model T shifter. this is definately a redneck beater... and i dont give a f.... i love this truck.

sits on 33s, and a leveling kit.







SIDE PROJECT: buddies jeep

short and sweet, cleaned out his top end of sludge, did a bunch of tune up stuff, installed a cheapo CAI (more like HAI), and put a 4 1/2" lift from rough country on it. got some black cragar wheels from summit and they are going to be wrapped in 31x10.5x15 Dakota MT from pepboys ( this build was fun once i find the pictures that are scattered i will post this up in the squeky wheel)
