Alright so today I painted it and decided by popular vote to put the MAF right behind the air filter. i modified the pipe a bit so this could happen and that Fusion paint does kick ass. Pics coming soon. It should look pretty legit when done!

Wow thats a nice $200 piece of PVC pipe!! That JTL even looks like you can see the glue they use to hold pvc together.

Just for the record the JLT looks impressive in person and you can hardly see the one joint unless you look very close. I took a photo of the inside so that you could see the diameter and smoothness of the pipe as there are no seams, ridges etc.

It costS a heck of a lot more than 30 dollars worth of plumbing which I think he did a fantastic job on and really does look very nice. Where I live thoug after I bought the pvc pieces, clamps, rubber connectors and paint it probably would cost me half of what I spent and then still needed a filter to match.

I tried one several years ago and it fit like crap, paint looked terrible and it looked like a toilet drain. So his work is very impressive especially when you compare it the overall cost of something that it is very similar.

But no matter how good it looks and how well it works there will always be someone to point it out for what it is.....just my 2 cents

I didnt say it wasnt a nice intake, Ive got a Dense charger on mine that is PVC pipe, it looks like total crap but it is neat to be able to add onto it. Ive got a Power pipe to replace it though.

if you can keep it plastic, therefore there is no heat soak that can get the air temp up, although I think the the powerpipes are aluminum right?

I made a cai out of pvc a while back and ended up ditching it and going with a C&L elbow and a stock air box. The pvc started to sag from the heat.

Beast I know you've already painted it, but I think it'll really pay off if you spend some time smoothing down the big humps on the ends of the bends, so it doesn't look so much like drain pipe.
