so i'm getting ready for another year at school and putting my car away for the winter months and such... (but lets not think about that now) and i am trying to put together a winter project. I'm on a budget being a college student so keep that in mind. I also want the car to be FUN to drive on the street as it's my daily driver, but also rip off some low 13s or better if possible on a budget.

Mods so far are:
3.73s, nitto dr's, o/r Xpipe, flowmaster mufflers, upper+lower control arms, ac+smog delete, u/d pullies, pro5.0 shifter, and subframes.

Best time as of now is 14.3 @ 99 with a 2.1 60' on a pretty poor track, i havent been able to make it too one of the nicer tracks in the area but i will before school to see if i can pull a 13 with a decent 60' once the humidity drops. (which i think is very likely) What do you guys think?? 99mph is good for what?

so....i was also wondering if saving all my $$ is worth it for a set of aluminum heads? I know this gets debated over and over...i've read most of em. Would they move my power up far? or does that depend more on the cam, intake, and everything else? Aluminum heads just cost so much new compared to thumpers or gt40s...and $1000+ is alot for a college student to drop on heads.

If i didnt get AFR165s or TWs here's what i'd do:
Thumper e7s -or- gt40s
TFS stage 1 cam or other reccomended
Cobra intake
70mm TB
shorty headers

i am REALLY concerned about the car being fun to drive on the street...i dont want the powerband up too high. don't really want nitrous. I figure i can find the TB, intake, and headers in the classifieds somewhere. And i figure the thumpers would keep the car torquey for the street. I also think the e7s or gt40s could be found cheap enough for my budget and goals, and then (once i graduate) upgrade to better heads or slap a sc/turbo on it and be done once i have a job and steady $.

so if you've read all this maybe you guys could give me some input? what kind of times would i be at with these combos? i'm probably forgetting something so what is it? Thanks in advance!

holly systemax is much better than the cobra intake, or get a exploer motor out of the junk yard and take the heads and intake get a 65mm tb and a 73mm mass air 24 pound injecters are a must for a h/c/i setup, not too sure what is the best cam but i love my e-303
