i understand this is a big job but i need all the advise i can get. I have a 1991 gt with a sunroof. the sunroof is rusted in the corners and i dont really like the sun roof. would it be cheaper to go to the junk yard and cut a roof off a fox then have it installed by a professional, or do i have a professional do the body work on the sunroof and keep it. I am not familiar with body work so do hate on my knowledge. any ball park pricing for either would be nice too. thanks!

Is there just rust around the sunroof or is it rotting through the metal? Surface rust is easy where as rot (or decay) is going to take a lot of fabrication to fix and it's hard to say how much it'd cost to repair and paint. If you're not in love with this car and there isn't too many expensive modifications then i'd just fall on the sword and sell it. Most likely your sunroof drain holes are clogged up and water is pooling in there resulting in rust/corrosion.

This video from LMR shows how to reseal your sunroof and clean out your drain holes.
