50Resto offers projector headlights for 87-93 mustang that come with 9007 bulbs. These year stangs take a 9004 bulb. How come they come with a 9007??? What is the difference between the 9004 and 9007? I know the 9007 has more light output but is that all? Can I just plug a 9007 bulb in place of my stock 9004?
Here is the link to there site:

I put these on last summer, love em! Warning though, on mine the pin connectors were in backwards.... So low beam was high beam and vice versa. Nothing a couple of minutes and a paperclip (used to push swith the pins) couldn't fix right up though.

The 9004 to 9007 ticked me off too, cause I had just got the really super nice blue 9004's... and couldn't use them. I gave them to a friend of mine along with old lights, made him very happy.

Is the lighting projected differently with the projector housings as opposed to stock?

from what ive seen on my friends car with projectors... in your rear view mirror, instead of seeing the normal fox body lights (orange, square white, orange), the middle one isnt a square no more.. all the light is projected in a circle if i can describe it right.. youd never think it was a mustang behind you and DAMN does it light up the road..

Those G2 lights from Ebay look like they are trying to imitate the look of a projector housing but in fact, not a projector housing (lense).

If I had a new digital camera I'd take some pics, but mine is broke... I love the lights though. They look fantastic and light up the road ten times better than I thought possible!

I'm pretty sure that the blue you see is from the HID's not the projector. Yes the projector makes the blue clearer but projectors alone do not make your lights look blue. You know the difference between just HID's and Projector HID's in your rear view when the car behind you goes over a bump and their lights go from blue to white. The projector makes the light a beam so when they go up or down etc you see the blue to white change. My friends M3 is like that.

Well the HID's are what gives it the color. The projector is what focus's the beam. You could get the projector headlights which would project your beam and some say make it look brighter. If you wanted a cheap way you could buy some decent xenon blue colored headlight bulbs or if you wanted to drop some cash you could buy a HID conversion kit but that will run you like 500. How bad do you really want blue headlights is the question.

Do the projectors made for 87-93 stang actually focus the light wider and further like a "true" projector lense/housing does? Does anyone know the answer?

I would assume so because If you look at them you can see the round parts that projects the light. Ya know the part that if you were lookin close to them looks like a magnafine glasse. I dont see why they would sell projectors that only offer the look of projectors.

As far as the fogs go. A buddy of mine has HID fog lights but his are square not round like ours. I'm sure they sell round ones I'm just not sure where. He has HID fogs and HID headlights on his car and when I say they are insanly bright I mean it. I dont know how the cops dont pull his ass over lol.
