Proper backspacing for 15x8s on a 97GT?

I'm hoping it's 5.5. Someone has some Draglites for sale in the classifieds, I need to get some so I can flog my car with a set of ET Streets!

Just measure the stock wheel. measure from the back part of the wheel to the mounting pad.

You need 5.5" minimum

97 have a bar over the caliper so its wheel spacer time or grinding the bar.(weld wheels)

Oh crap! How much grinding would I have to do? If it's not much, then that's what I'll do. How about installing rear brakes from another year?

well it is 5.5" back spacing and no you shouldnt need to grind anything. should just bolt right on. didnt need to do anything to my draglites. 15x8

well i have a 97 and only saying grinding for front because if not your front tires will stick out and look funky.or dont grind and get wheel spacers front and rear.

spacers for the front 7/16ths and no spacers needed for the rear.
