I'm looking to do a swap with someone on craigslist—my '92 A/T 4Runner w/201k miles for his '94 A/T Convertible Mustang with 188k miles. My car KBBs higher than his, but I don't need a car that big any more and want something with better gas mileage than my 4Runner.
I'm meeting up with him tomorrow to have the Mustang put up on a rack and looked over. What should I look for? I've never owned a Mustang, much less a Ford, and while I know my way around a car pretty well, I'm no mechanic.
What are some known problems and issues with the '94? I've test driven the prospective trade car, and it drives, sounds smells and feels like it should. Anything I should look out for in this model? The guy who has it now has only had it 7 months and wants to swap for something with 4x4 to tow his boat around.
